Maternal Composite Breeding Aims
Total stud ewe numbers now total more than 900 mature ewes plus 400 joined ewe lambs which allows us to be very selective in the ewes that are retained in the stud and lots of R & D mobs to test new genetics.

- FOOTROT TOLERANT by using DNA analysis to identify superior sires.
- DAG FREE - sheep are challenged on farm and daggy sheep culled.
- TO BREED A TYPE every stud ewe is individually assigned to a sire at classing to maintain a type.
- WORM TOLERANT - We have sucessfully established a stud flock where no ewe over the age of 2yo is given a drench
- MAXIMUM KILOS of lambs weaned per kilo of ewe mated.
- Maintain a moderate adult FRAME SIZE.
